Flower delivery to Hájek from a Karlovy Vary florist

The municipality of Hájek, including the parts Hájek and Nová Víska, lies between Karlovy Vary and Ostrov. A nursery school in Hájek is a branch site of a regional primary and nursery school. The municipality is also home to a fuel depot operated by ČEPRO that was built in 1964.

The municipality was first mentioned in 1409. Behind the municipal office, the site of a circular fortress that disappeared in the 16th century has been preserved. The cultural centre was built in 1950, and the municipality has held summer cinema screenings since 2006. In 2013, Hájek received the Golden Ribbon for winning the regional round of the Village of the Year competition.
