Flower delivery to Ostrov from Karlovy Vary

Ostrov lies by the stream Bystřice at the foot of the Ore Mountains, about 10 km north-east of Karlovy Vary. In 2025, it had around 15,700 residents. The cadastral area, railway station and post office all carry the name Ostrov nad Ohří.

King John of Luxembourg granted Ostrov town rights in 1331, although more recent research suggests that he confirmed them instead. Duke Julius Henry of Saxe-Lauenburg established the chateau park in 1625; in the 17th century it was called the eighth wonder of the world. The monastery complex, with the Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary and St Anne's burial chapel, adjoins the chateau park. The cemetery church of St James the Greater is Ostrov's oldest surviving monument and, according to tradition, was consecrated in 1226.

Lenka Skořepová also delivers bouquets to Ostrov. The bouquet can be handed to its recipient at home, at work or at another place where they are staying. In Ostrov, the handover can also take place at a hospital, a care home, a school, the town hall, a cultural centre or a hotel.
