Flower delivery in Sadov from a local florist

Sadov lies close to Karlovy Vary. The Sadov municipal office also administers the parts of Bor, Lesov, Podlesí and Stráň. The primary school and nursery in Sadov were established by an association of municipalities and have additional sites in Otovice and Hájek.

Sadov's first written record dates to 1523, and kaolin and brown coal mining influenced the village's development. The early Gothic Church of St Mary Magdalene in Bor, near Sadov, dates from around 1260 and has been gradually restored since 2006. A Baroque chapel dating from 1788 stands in Sadov and was renovated in 2010; another chapel, dating from 1890, stands in Stráň. The cultural centre with two halls was completely restored after a fire and reopened in 2002.
